Mr Vasireddy is a fellowship trained Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon specialising in the management of complex upper limb, lower limb, pelvic and acetabular fractures. He works at King’s College Hospital (Major Trauma Centre) in London. The unit is at the centre of the regional trauma network and is one of the busiest major trauma centres in the United Kingdom.

He completed his medical degree at Guy’s, King’s & St. Thomas’ School of Medicine, where he also completed a Bachelor of Science degree (with Honours) in Molecular Medicine. After medical school and the completion of Basic Surgical Training, he was appointed to the prestigious South East Thames Trauma & Orthopaedic Rotation. He completed further specialist Orthopaedic Trauma training at The Royal London Hospital, as well as Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowships at Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham (under Prof Moran) and King’s College Hospital in London. In addition, he has also completed Travelling Fellowship visits to multiple Major Trauma Centres in America, including Shock Trauma Centre in Baltimore and Harborview Medical Centre in Seattle. By undertaking such a wide variety of training posts, he has developed valuable skills and expertise in managing complex fractures of the upper limb, lower limb, pelvis and acetabulum.

In addition to advanced Orthopaedic training, he has also trained in the fields of Vascular Surgery, General Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery. Uniquely and in comparison to many surgeons, Mr Vasireddy also has extensive experience in Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care and Anaesthesia.

Mr Vasireddy is one of a handful of surgeons who also works as a Pre-hospital Care Doctor. In this role, he continues to work as a current Pre-Hospital Care Consultant on the Regional Air Ambulance Service and is also involved in the training of future Pre-hospital Care Doctors and Paramedics.

He holds two Academic Lecturer posts. Mr Vasireddy is a Lecturer at the Institute of Pre-Hospital Care at London’s Air Ambulance. This role involves research and teaching BSc. Students and Pre-Hospital Care Doctors and Paramedics. He is also an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the Blizard Institute of Trauma Sciences, which is part of Queen Mary University of London. This role involves teaching, mentoring and supervising MSc students.

Mr Vasireddy is the only full-time Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon at King’s College Hospital. He is in charge of the three trauma-fellowship training programmes at King’s and is heavily involved in the training of junior doctors. He also has a keen interest in research and is the principal investigator for numerous national and international research studies.
