We are committed to supporting you and your child through this difficult time

Eating disorders affect up to 5% of people and are most common in adolescence and early adulthood. A few, particularly bulimia nervosa and anorexia nervosa, are more prevalent in women, although they can happen to anybody, of any gender, at any age.

At Schoen Clinic Newbridge, we understand how important it is to support children and teenagers who are experiencing eating disorders. It's our goal to improve the lives of our patients and their families and to raise awareness of eating disorders and their greater impact on all those affected.

We're dedicated to offering children and young people with eating disorders uniquely specialised, evidence-based support and focused eating disorder therapy.

Inpatient treatment that doesn't compromise on school education

All our young people attend James Brindley School within Schoen Clinic Newbridge, which is a specialist academy for children and teens with eating disorders, medical conditions and/or special educational needs.

Many of our residents achieve excellent grades whilst receiving treatment and leave wonderful feedback for the teachers following discharge.

We have also produced films and accompanying resources for schools in which young people we have treated describe their experiences to promote understanding of eating disorders among children, teens and adolescents.
