About the Role

Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking to work in a Dementia hospital environment or start your portfolio?


As a Bank Occupational Therapist, you will work with the MDT to undertake occupational therapy assessments. You will address occupational performance and skill deficits, enabling the patient in all areas of self-maintenance, productivity, and leisure.


You will work with your service users to identify occupational therapy goals as part of the overall care plan whilst planning and implementing individual and/or group interventions, in collaboration with the service user, using graded activity to achieve therapeutic goals.


You will monitor and evaluate treatment to measure progress with your service users and ensure the effectiveness of the intervention.

Skills & requirements

As an Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC, you will bring proven experience from a hospital or primary care setting. Understanding mental health practice models like MOHO, along with the ability to explain, encourage, and build rapport with patients, is essential.


You will possess key skills including dexterity, coordination, and proficiency with specialist equipment. You must respect confidentiality and work effectively within a team to achieve organisational goals, while also being capable of leading independently when necessary.


You will be able to adapt to changing environments, have strong decision-making skills, and workload management is crucial.
