CYP Primary Therapist

Schoen Clinic Chelsea have a fantastic opportunity for a CYP Primary Therapist on a permanent full time or part time basis.
Description

We are seeking both experienced and early career psychologists with a passion for helping young people to join our growing multidisciplinary team working in a dynamic and innovative eating disorders service. We can offer a permanent full-time or part-time post with flexible working conditions at a competitive salary.

In the wake of the pandemic the demand for quality, expert care for children and adolescents with eating disorders has greatly increased. Schoen Clinic Chelsea has developed a day programme specifically to meet this need and are in the process of expanding our outpatient service provision as well.

Principle Duties

Working closely as part of a supportive and cohesive MDT, the CYP Primary Therapist will hold an individual caseload of both day patients and outpatients, as determined by service demands. Specifically, the post holder will be responsible for conducting therapeutic assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions for young people with eating disorders and their families. The post holder will have an allocated number of patients and possibly also therapy groups on the day programme and will be expected to contribute to weekly MDT meetings, where key decisions will be made regarding the care and treatment of our patients. The post holder will also be expected to have regular clinical supervision and to attend our fortnightly reflective practice group. Depending on level of experience, the CYP Primary Therapist may be asked to oversee, manage and supervise more junior colleagues.

At Schoen Clinic Chelsea we strive to deliver excellent care and treatment and have a strong quality agenda. Routine Outcome Measures are collected to inform audit and research. The CYP Primary Therapist is expected to contribute to good data collection and to the ongoing development of our services.

This role would be suitable for an experienced psychologist currently working in the field of eating disorders or for an early career psychologist looking to specialise in this area. Schoen Clinic Chelsea are committed to the continuing professional development of all our CYP Primary Therapists, whatever their background and level of experience.
