At Schoen Clinic York we are looking for caring individuals who can combine clinical expertise with a compassionate approach to patient care to join our highly specialised clinic treating adults within a mental health setting. Schoen Clinic York has grown over the last 12 months reaching inpatient capacity with our newly growing outpatient service in progress. We're looking for part or full-time Registered Mental Health Nurses for our inpatient eating disorders hospital for adults in York.
You will be working with an experienced multidisciplinary team and Schoen Clinic York is part of Schoen Clinic UK Group, which also has hospitals in Birmingham and London and specialises in treating patients with eating disorders and mental health conditions.
Schoen Clinic York is rated 'Good in all areas' by the Care Quality Commission (latest inspection report here).
The successful candidate will be a compassionate, resilient and open-minded individual who is adaptable, creative and able to provide high levels of support to patients throughout their recovery journey. This will involve planning, implementing, assessing and evaluating nursing care using person-centred, evidence based practice.
The hospital has a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team who support one another to manage risk and work in collaboration, which will be a key feature of this role.

Schoen Clinic York is a highly specialised Private Eating Disorder Hospital for adults in the North of England. We are currently based on the ground floor of Minster Grange, and in 2024 will be expanding to cover the full building. We are situated just off Haxby Road which is 10 minutes’ drive from York Train Station and 4 miles from the A64.
We offer highly specialised treatments for adults with Eating Disorders such as Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa through inpatient residential care, private short-stay support and day care treatment via outpatients. All of the treatments we provide are delivered in conjunction with each patient to be individualised to their needs.

Skills
Previous experience with the patient group is desirable but a special interest, motivation and enthusiasm to work in this area is more important as full training will be given.
We would also welcome applications from newly qualified nurses and have a preceptorship package if required - please contact us to discuss this option further.
