An exciting opportunity to join our specialist private outpatient and day clinic in Chelsea as a Clinical Psychologist, treating adults, adolescents and children with eating disorders, anxiety & depression.

At Schoen Clinic Chelsea we are looking for exceptional individuals who can combine clinical expertise with a caring approach to patient care to join our highly specialised private mental health clinic. The clinic provides group day programmes and outpatient consultations / individual therapy for people experiencing adult mood disorders and/or eating disorders. We also provide a specific children, young people and families eating disorder outpatient clinic.

With a drive to exceed expectations and work collaboratively, the Clinical Psychologist is tasked with offering high-quality therapeutic services to our patients, overseeing and leading the MDT team in the development and delivery of the group/day programme.

Working with the team to continuously improve the service, this role will be ideal for a clinical psychologist looking to expand their career in the field of eating, anxiety, and depression disorder.



At Schoen Clinic we strive to deliver excellent care and treatment and have a strong quality agenda.  Key-duties for the Clinical Psychologist therefore include:


  • Complete psychological assessments with patients and attend MDT meetings to review each patient on a regular basis.
  • Assess risk and develop a management plan for the psychological components of care and treatment.
  • Review developmental history and care plan treatment accordingly, acting as a key worker for your clinical caseload and to some of the day patients.
  • To develop, deliver and monitor the treatment program with the MDT
  • To support and develop the design, implementation, and evaluation of therapeutic interventions in accordance with best practice.
  • To clinically supervise assistant psychologists, and other clinical staff as appropriate.
  • To provide clinical consultation, mentorship, supervision, and advice about psychological issues to other members of the team.
  • To hold a caseload of individual therapies, group therapies, key-working, and other clinical roles as need.



Additional Tasks


  • Act as a positive role model to all members of the MDT Facilitate feedback and staff debriefing sessions as required by the service.
  • Maintain an up to date calendar of planned groups and appointments and manage your own caseload. 
  • Assist in the planning and organisation of educational programmes for Schoen Clinic Chelsea staff.
  • Provide education on psychological interventions within eating disorders and anxiety/depression disorders. 
  • Maintain registration with the HPCP and act at all times within the regulations and recommendations of this professional body.

  • Requirement: Doctorate training in Clinical or Counselling Psychology
  • Requirement: Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist
  • Requirement: Post qualification experience in a clinical mental health setting
  • Desirable: Further training/qualifications in therapeutic models or approaches relevant for adults and young people (e.g. CBT-E, FBT-AN Schema, DBT, CFT etc.)
  • Desirable: Training in professional skills such as safeguarding, line management, marketing etc.
