Lead Spinal Theatre Practitioner

A self-motivated and professional individual to work closely with the Theatre Manager and Clinical Services Manager to develop a team of professional staff that delivers high-quality care that is safe, effective, caring and responsive and delivers on the key priorities for theatres and interventional areas.

Who We Are Looking For
We are a family-owned specialist spinal and orthopaedic hospital looking for an expert spinal practitioner to join our highly motivated theatre team.
You will have significant experience working in theatres at a recognised spinal centre. You will be a qualified Surgical First Assistant and possibly working towards a Surgical Care Practitioner qualification. You will understand the importance of collecting outcome and theatre utilisation data and will actively promote and participate in this.
You will provide day to day operational support to our employed and independent spinal surgeons whilst liaising with reps and suppliers to ensure we have the correct kit and implants for surgical cases. You will be expected to nurture and grow junior staff through an engaging clinical education program. You will also join the lead practitioners rotation into the Deputy Theatre Management roll.
Principle Duties
- Provide expert leadership to theatre team whilst focusing on the spinal speciality
- Champion excellence in all areas of practice
- Rotate into Deputy Theatre Management role
Due to the commitment to continuous improvement, the post will likely evolve over time. These duties will be subject to regular review and any amendments will be made in consultation and agreement with the post holder.
