Based on a unique stepped care model, we offer a comprehensive range of care pathways aiming to support our patients across all stages of their recovery. Starting with an individual outpatient assessment, treatment can range from outpatient consultation and therapy to structured full and half day programmes.

The Schoen difference
A centre of excellence
We choose to specialise in particular areas of healthcare because we believe this delivers the best treatments and outcomes. This has been the Schoen Clinic approach for over 30 years and means patients can be assured that we have already successfully treated many others with the same condition.
Innovative stepped care
We offer an innovative stepped care model which enables patients to move between our structured therapy programmes and individual outpatient treatment in a seamless way. All our services are developed around a managed patient pathway, starting with an expert assessment and a personalised care plan and ending with a planned discharge.
Person centred pathways
We treat every person as a partner in their care, tailoring our approach to their individual needs. Dedicated care co-ordinators manage each patient’s bespoke pathway, including regular reviews which enable us to respond quickly to changing needs, preferences and progress at each stage of treatment.
World-class treatment outcomes
One of the things that make us unique is our award winning approach to outcome measurement. We rigorously collect and analyse patient outcome data to drive the continuous improvement of our care and services. For example, since revising our treatment standards for eating disorders in 2013 as a result of our ‘Quality Empowered by Documentation’ system, we have achieved a 40% increase in the average weight gained per week by our patients.
Multi-disciplinary team of experts
Our specialists work together in multidisciplinary teams, meeting each week to review every patient’s individual progress and care plan. Unique within private healthcare, we also strive to employ the majority of our consultants on a full-time or part-time basis. This stems from our belief that the highest possible standards are best achieved with a dedicated team that is part of our organisation working to our values and culture.
