Deb has over thirty years of nursing experience in a wide range of specialisms. She has worked in the NHS and the private sector, initially as a general nurse, then later in Mental Health. She enjoyed her time as a School Nurse at a private mixed junior school with over 600 pupils. Deb has worked in renowned centres of excellence, including working in a therapeutic milieu, and with those needing specialist treatments and nursing care for substance misuse and other addictive behaviours.
Deb has worked extensively in the field of Eating Disorders, with adults, children, and young people and their families. This has included Multi-Family work, and running a parents/carers manualised support group, in both in-patient and out-patient settings. She has a particular passion for working psychotherapeutically in helping her patients to gain greater insight and understanding of themselves. She has presented at International Conferences and has also been involved in the training and supervision of staff.
