Schoen Clinic Newbridge Birmingham
Healthcare Assistant - Eating Disorders (Children & Young People)
Faizah Sultana is a Senior Healthcare Assistant at Schoen Clinic Newbridge caring for our children, teens and young people undergoing treatment for eating disorders.
Faizah joined Schoen Clinic Newbridge in 2018 as an agency staff member, before becoming a core team member in 2020.
As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, Faizah contributes to making a difference in our young patients' lives, supporting them through each aspect of their eating disorder recovery journey. Faizah is incredibly passionate about her role at Schoen Clinic Newbridge and works closely with the MDT to ensure each patient receives the best possible outcome from treatment, with a new outlook on life and wanting to thrive to move forward after discharge.
Faizah also works with our young people and their families making sure that they feel supported from the moment they arrive at our eating disorder hospital. Understanding that inpatient care can seem daunting, Faizah believes it's essential that the young person and their families are listened to, supported and cared for with compassion and empathy. She ensures these needs are met by providing the best care possible to the young person and their family at each stage.
Since joining the team at Schoen Clinic Newbridge in Birmingham, Faizah has explored the various training opportunities on offer and is now skilled in both NG feeding and phlebotomy, undertaking these responsibilities when required for delivering care to patients.
Faizah says, "I am privileged to work at Schoen Clinic Newbridge with such an outstanding team that provides the highest level of care and always strives to ensure the best standard of care is provided to the young people and their families. Working here has opened so many different avenues and enabled me to enhance my skill set. Schoen Clinic Newbridge is a warm and welcoming place where everyone is made to feel part of the team!"
