Jess graduated from Aston University with a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology with professional placement year. This year was undertaken in inpatient psychology across the Essex region. She then gained experience within a supported living environment for individual’s with learning disabilities and complex needs helping people thrive within their day to day lives and work towards their goals. 

Jess then begun work as an Assistant Psychologist within adult eating disorders in Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. Jess has worked 1-1 delivering a brief Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with clients with Bulimia Nervosa, running group Dialectical Behavioural Therapy for Binge Eating Disorder and devising a group intervention for Purging disorder (which currently comes under the Other Specified Feeding and Eating Disorders in the DSM 5).

Jess has worked on two research papers looking into patient experience of brief CBT as well as the effectiveness of this intervention in patient recovery.
