Mr Ali AbbasianMr Ali Abbasian

Mr Abbasian is a fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon specialising in all aspects of the management of foot and ankle problems. His NHS practice is based at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust where he undertakes sports surgery of the adult foot and ankle, regularly accepting tertiary referrals from other orthopaedic centres. As an avid runner himself, having completed a number of half marathons and enjoying Parkruns every Saturday.

Mr Alex MontgomeryMr Alex Montgomery

Mr Montgomery leads the Spinal Unit at The Royal London Hospital (Barts Health), which is now the largest spinal trauma unit in the UK. He regularly treats amateur and elite athletes including Olympic gold medalists, professional boxing champions, international rugby players, team sky cyclists.

Our Consultant Sports Exercise Medicine Physicians work at both national and international level across many sports from gold medal Olympians and Paralympians to recreational sports people. Dr Julian Widdowson, in particular, is the TASS doctor for international track and field athletes based at the University of Bath and was one of the lead SEM doctors at the athletic track in the Olympic Stadium for the London Olympics.
