Your journey with us

When it comes to your health, you deserve the best

Within a single outpatient visit you will be assessed, have any diagnostic tests required and a consultation with a specialist to discuss every step of your proposed treatment plan.

We care for private patients from elite sports people with musculoskeletal injuries to people with arthritis or back pain and patients with complex spinal conditions.

The multidisciplinary team approach

Innovative treatment pathways and our multidisciplinary team approach offers the best possible clinical care and improved patient experience.

All our services are developed around streamlined and controlled Consultant-led care pathways.

For patients with complex conditions, we champion multidisciplinary pathways and the involvement of the wider clinical team for individual case discussions and united treatment decisions.

How it works step-by-step

1. Speak to your GP
If you are self-funding treatment, you can just book an appointment at Schoen Clinic London but it is always best to speak to your GP or physiotherapist if possible as a referral will provide your Consultant with useful information about your medical history. Patients using health insurance always need a referral as a requirement from their insurance company.

2. Book an appointment
Just call our Bookings Team on +44 20 4571 6344 to help find the most appropriate expert and convenient appointment for you or you can Contact us using our online contact us form.

3. See a Consultant
Discuss your symptoms, diagnosis and treatment options with the Consultant of your choice. If diagnostic investigations are required, such as an x-ray, MRI, CT scan or blood test, we can usually organise for these to take place on the same day if possible.

4. Treatment begins
If further treatment is recommended, this will be arranged as soon as possible after your consultation - at a time to suit you.

5. Aftercare
After your procedure, we provide extensive aftercare and recovery to help get you back on your feet as soon as possible.

Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings

We take pride in our Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) approach. MDT meetings enable us to deliver 'joined-up' care to ensure our patients benefit access opinions from a number of specialists.

At these meetings, your current problem, imaging and relevant background medical history may be discussed.

The meetings typically include;

  • Schoen Clinic London Consultants, radiologists, physiotherapists, theatre representatives and nurse specialists
  • Other Consultant Physicians from related specialities (e.g. Rheumatology)
  • External Physiotherapists who would like to discuss some of their patients with the Schoen Clinic experts
  • External Consultants who would like to discuss their patients with the Schoen Clinic experts

All of these professionals are bound by strict legal terms of confidentiality which prohibit any information sharing outside the bounds of the MDT, except where absolutely necessary.

If you have any questions about the MDT meetings and what happens with your information, please speak to your Consultant.
