What is a self-pay patient?

A self-pay patient is anyone who chooses to pay for their own treatment. If you choose to self-pay for your treatment, you can access the best medical care without the need for health insurance.

If you want to pay for your treatment directly or avoid a monthly premium, then you may wish to investigate becoming a self-pay patient with us.

By self-paying your for your treatment, you can still access the best medical care without having to pay hefty insurance premiums. That is why self-paying can be well suited to people with pre-existing medical conditions not covered by insurance, or for older citizens looking to avoid monthly insurance premiums.

Frequently asked questions

Self-pay FAQs

A pay as you go healthcare system is exactly that – rather than paying monthly for an expensive insurance premium, pay as you go healthcare lets you pay for treatment as and when you need it.

Yes, you can. We understand that paying for medical treatment in one lump sum may be tricky, which is why we have partnered with Chrysalis Finance to offer our patients convenient payment plans.

If you choose to finance your treatment with us, you can spread the cost of your treatment. Whether you choose to spread the cost over six or 60 months is entirely up to you.

No, you do not. We welcome patients without referrals from their GPs. However, the British Medical Association recommend that you seek a referral from your GP before coming to us. As they will know your medical history, they can advise on whether they think private medical treatment is the best route.

However, this is not a requirement with us.

We understand that when you are in pain, you cannot afford to wait for you treatment. That is why we aim to see our patients in as little as 24 hours.
