Natalie Maley

Natalie Maley joined Schoen Clinic Newbridge (formerly Newbridge House) at the start of 2013 as Hospital Director. She brings a wealth of experience in child and adolescent mental health services to the role and has a degree in mental health nursing clinical practice.

After qualifying, Natalie spent three years as the primary care nurse at a young offenders’ institute, where she was responsible for carrying out assessments, developing care plans and responding to challenging situations.

Natalie was then appointed senior mental health practitioner for an NHS home based treatment service, where she built her skills and experience of working with young people who have eating disorders. Her focus was on providing intensive treatment in order to prevent hospital admission or support to facilitate earlier hospital discharge. The young patients she was working with were the most acutely ill group within the community and her role involved the management of serious risk. As a senior practitioner, Natalie had to work both autonomously and within multi-disciplinary teams spanning several different organisations.

Natalie is personally committed to supporting young people with complex mental health problems and helping them to fulfil their life’s potential. She is also a qualified mentor with extensive experience in training and presenting and is playing a key role at Newbridge House in nursing staff development and support.
