Dr Rashmi Verma

Dr Verma is a highly experienced and respected Consultant with a specialist interest in Childhood Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry.

At Schoen Clinic Chelsea, she offers detailed and comprehensive assessments for ADHD in young people up to the age of 18, gaining adjunctive information from education and other settings. To do this, she will need to meet with the child/adolescent in person, whilst also being flexible about additional online appointments with parents. At the end of the assessment, she provides feedback and a full report which can be used for further CAMHS referrals if appropriate.

Dr Verma is able to strike a comfortable rapport with young people and is well liked by patients, parents and professionals. She believes that it is important to identify early if a young person has neurodevelopment difficulties in order to ensure the right understanding and support around them. She is also able to determine if their difficulties are not due to ADHD but other conditions and factors instead.

Dr Verma has an impressive background in Psychiatry to validate her clinical opinion. After finishing her medical degree at The University of Sheffield School of Medicine in 2004, she went on to achieve her General Psychiatry qualification on The Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospital rotation.

She then accomplished her specialist training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at The Tavistock NHS Foundation Trust where she has worked in a number of Central London hospitals including University College London, The Royal Free and the Whittington Hospital. She has worked in Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry since 2010 gaining considerable knowledge and authority within the field.
