COVID-19 risk assessment

Schoen Clinic London has completed a risk assessment as part of infection prevention, control and preparedness for COVID-19 within their orthopaedic and spinal hospital.  

The COVID-19 risk assessment was conducted in accordance with the methodology from the Health and Safety Executive.

The scope of this risk assessment forms part of the preparedness activity to safely receive and treat patients within the facility. Specifically identifying the necessary procedures and control measures to minimise risk to both staff and patients.

The critical measures and procedures identified as best practise are:

1. Screening & Testing

  • Patients
  • Staff

2. Hygiene

  • Personal
  • Environmental

3. Social Distancing

4. Personal Protective Equipment

Outcome

The outcome of the risk assessment shows Schoen Clinic London endeavours to both manage and mitigate risk; reducing risks so far as is reasonably practicable.

As part of the management and mitigation the results of the COVID-19 risk assessment have been shared with the workforce and a mandatory staff induction outlining the critical measures and controls has been delivered.

All necessary controls and safeguards are in place across the facility.
