Schoen Clinic York
Your mental health inpatient clinic in northern England
Schoen Clinic took over the management and delivery of the specialised mental health services provided in Naomi and Kemp Units in January 2019. Naomi is a specialist adult eating disorder ward and Kemp Ward provides treatment for people with complex personality and Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). At Schoen Clinic York, we offer expert assessment and bespoke, outcome-focused treatment pathways to recovery in a discrete, safe and therapeutic facility. We treat every person as a partner in their care, providing treatment for our patients on behalf of NHS England and in collaboration with you, your family and your community mental health team.
Our approach uses a recovery focused pathway model which include physical stabilisation, increasing your skills in all areas of your life, improving self-awareness and self-care through therapy sessions, multiple group and individual interventions. We will help you to transfer those skills for long-term recovery outside of the hospital environment, preparing for living a healthy and fulfilled life in your local community.
We aim to foster an atmosphere which is non-judgmental, curious and empathic in the hope that this containing relational space will enable you to explore your sense of self, your difficulties and the relationships you have with others and within yourself.
