Schoen Clinic Newbridge and Schoen Clinic York welcome both NHS and privately funded service users. Schoen Clinic Chelsea currently welcomes self-funding and privately insured patients.​
NHS referrals to Schoen Clinic York, Wellen Court and Schoen Clinic Newbridge
Adult NHS patients can receive specialist care from our experienced multidisciplinary team in York.
​
We strive to make our patients feel as comfortable as possible while undergoing treatment with us at our safe and welcoming inpatient hospital for adults with eating disorders.
NHS patients arrive at Schoen Clinic York via their Specialist Eating Disorder Service (SEDS) or CMHT (Community Mental Health Team). We receive a referral which is reviewed in our referral meeting and if appropriate, we offer a pre-assessment.
This supports initial care plans and treatment planning before admission. Once we have completed this, we would either offer an admission or make recommendations to the CMHT if inpatient treatment at Schoen Clinic York isn't appropriate. If eating disorder treatment is appropriate, an admission date is then set.

Dementia care at Wellen Court, Schoen Clinic York
Our dementia care home provides specialised residential support for individuals with dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease and other memory-related conditions. The secure, comfortable environment at Wellen Court features en-suite rooms and a person-centred approach to care.
We work closely with families and NHS teams to ensure seamless admissions, creating tailored care plans that support residents’ physical, emotional, and cognitive needs. Our team includes dementia specialists who focus on enhancing quality of life through evidence-based therapies and compassionate care.

With an 'Outstanding' rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) each patient can expect exceptional care - from leading outcome-based treatment to Specialist-led teams who look after them 24 hours a day.

We provide a safe and welcoming environment to make our young people feel as comfortable as possible while undergoing treatment with us.
NHS patients arrive at Schoen Clinic Newbridge via Specialist Eating Disorder Community Teams (SEDS) or CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services). We receive a referral form which we review in our weekly referral meeting and if appropriate we offer a pre-assessment.
This supports initial care plans and treatment planning prior to the admission date. Once we have completed this we would either offer an admission or make recommendations to the CAMHS team if inpatient treatment at Schoen Clinic Newbridge isn't appropriate. If appropriate an admission date is set.
