What care and support will I get during my treatment?At Schoen Clinic we take a personalised approach, so treatment and support options are wholly tailored to the unique needs of each individual. All patients have access to a skilled multidisciplinary team of specialists who work together for the benefit of each individual. Treatment could include one-to-one counselling sessions, family therapy, group therapy and skills workshops, psychiatric support, nutritional counselling or dietetics, health assessments, meal support and more.

What are the payment options for treatment?We offer a variety of payment methods at Schoen Clinic. Many of our patients choose to self-fund their treatment as a fast option to receive specialist mental healthcare. We’re also recognised by major insurers, so it’s worth checking with your provider to see if you’d be covered. For individuals wishing to receive care at Wellen Court, Schoen Clinic York, it’s also possible to access these services through the NHS. How do I get a referral for specialised mental health treatment at Schoen Clinic?You can be referred to Schoen Clinic by your GP, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team, Adult Mental Health Services (AMHS) team, or another health professional. If you are self-funding, a referral is preferable but not essential, as your specialist can write to your GP retrospectively.

What should I bring for my inpatient stay?For your inpatient stay, please bring: individually labelled clothes for day, night, and outdoor wear; a wash bag and toiletries; your own duvet, pillow, and covers; posters and pictures for your room; books and magazines; a CD player, DVD player, and/or a portable TV; and any materials for hobbies you enjoy, such as crafts or writing. It's also useful to have telephone numbers and addresses of people you need to contact during your stay.
