About Caymin Lategan
Qualifications
BSc Psychology with Research Methods (Hons)
Caymin Lategan is a Peer Support Worker within the specialist outpatient addictions programme at Schoen Clinic Chelsea. She brings a strong academic foundation in psychology alongside hands-on experience supporting individuals and families through emotional and behavioural challenges.
After more than a decade working in the corporate sector, Caymin pursued a career change aligned with her passion for mental health and wellbeing. She completed a BSc (Hons) in Psychology with Research Methods as a mature student and has since worked for two years as a school counsellor, where she delivered targeted interventions, facilitated family sessions, and collaborated closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Caymin has a particular interest in attachment theory, viewed through a neuroscientific and developmental lens, and values the use of evidence-based interventions to support emotional understanding and regulation. Her work is informed by research as well as practical, person-centred support.
Within Schoen Clinic Chelsea’s outpatient addictions treatment programme, Caymin supports clinicians and clients undertaking structured recovery work. She contributes to creating a safe, reflective environment, helping individuals engage with treatment, regulate emotions, and develop insight during their recovery journey.
Caymin assists clients who also experience anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, loneliness, and relationship difficulties, alongside their addiction.
Her approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and person-centred, with a focus on emotional safety, reflection, and sustainable change.
