About the Role

We are looking for motivated and empathetic Peer Support Workers to join our addiction services team based at Schoen Clinic Chelsea. In this role, you will use your lived experience of recovery to support clients navigating substance and alcohol abuse, providing guidance, encouragement, and practical advice to enhance their recovery journey.


This role will be working 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday with no weekend work, and no on call requirements.


What You’ll Do:


  • Offer one-to-one peer support to clients within individual and group settings.

  • Share your lived experience to motivate and inspire recovery while maintaining professional boundaries.

  • Assist clients in developing coping strategies, relapse prevention skills, and practical recovery plans.

  • Collaborate closely with therapists, clinicians, and the MDT to ensure holistic and coordinated care.

  • Contribute to the development of peer programs and participate in group facilitation where appropriate.

Skills & requirements

As a Peer Support Worker, you will have lived experience of addiction recovery with the ability to positively support others whilst having a firm understanding of addiction, recovery pathways, and co-occurring mental health conditions.


Utilising your strong communication and interpersonal skills developed in a previous peer support position, you will be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and consistently demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to upholding the values of confidentiality, empathy, and respect at all times.

£28,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience

  • Our London outpatient clinic, where we focus on mental health conditions (including eating disorders) and neurodiversity (ADHD, autism).
