Dr Bates is a dedicated HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist renowned for her specialisation in aiding adolescents and young adults coping with diverse mental health challenges. With extensive expertise and specialised training, she excels in addressing issues which often can occur alongside eating disorders such as anxiety, low mood, post-traumatic stress disorder, phobias, emotion dysregulation, and self-harm.

Subsequently, she completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Surrey, focusing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Systemic Family Therapy. She holds registration as a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council.
Her professional journey encompasses valuable experiences across specialised domains, including roles in specialist child and adolescent eating disorder services, paediatric neurorehabilitation, and adolescent and young adult oncology services across the UK and New Zealand.
